AFC Wimbledon midfielder Dannie Bulman takes the first time for everything test, and talks about his mum’s favourite TV soap, a relaxing lads’ holiday and the good thing about having a date watching a movie at the cinema.

First car: Mini metro, it was superb and I had it until it broke down a couple of months later, I was 18. I loved that car, but then you always love your first car don’t you.

Lads’ holiday: I went to Spain. There were a few of us, but it was not that mental, it was at my friend’s dad’s villa, so it was more about relaxing and taking thing easy rather than getting hammered in nightclubs. Very nice.

Sporting hero: Did I have a sporting hero? I don’t really know. I used to support Chelsea so anyone in the blue shirt was a favourite. I remember writing a story about Pat Nevin when I was at school, so he was probably my first idol.

Pet: We had a cat called Sue Ellen. My mum was a huge fan of Dallas at the time – which explains lot.

Your Local Guardian:

Any excuse: Dannie Bulman had supermodel Cindy Crawford on his bedroom wall as a teenager

Pin-up: It was probably Cindy Crawford the supermodel. It was in those days before reality TV was shoved in your face and the classy models were on boys’ walls.

FA Cup final: I was away on holiday with my family and it was one of the Liverpool v Everton finals, but I cannot remember which one.

Date: I was a bit of a boy back in the day, but I think my first date was probably at the cinema. Most dates back then were at the cinema. The good thing about the cinema is that you do not have to talk to each other.
