Whyteleafe claimed a comfortable 4-1 win over Walton Casuals at Church Road on Saturday and completed their third double of the season.

Few chances fell to either side in the first half - although the Leafe's Sam Clayton saw his well struck 25-yard free-kick tipped over by Luke Badiali.

At the other end a good break on the right by Marcel Barrington saw him find space in the box, but his shot was saved by the feet of Bailey Vose.

Barrington was the main danger for Casuals and had two more chances, Vose saving again in the 29th minute and a great saving tackle from Dean Hamlin stopped him in his tracks after 35 minutes.

Whyteleafe then took control - Roscoe DSane beat two defenders and saw a 36th minute effort blocked, then three minutes later, his cross found Clayton, but his volley was also blocked.

The game lit up in the 42nd minute when a spectacular 25 yard shot from Ryan Fowler gave Leafe the lead, before Liam Collins almost replied immediately, but his shot was tipped over the bar by Vose.

Just on the stroke of half time DSane extended the lead when he chased onto a long ball that Osa Obamwonyi was attempting to shield.

The former AFC Wimnledon striker managed to get a toe in to poke the ball home from close range spoiling Obamwonyi’s return to the club having left two weeks earlier.

Casuals upped their game in the second half and pulled one back in the 49th minute when Malik Ouani was found unmarked in the box and shot past Vose into the net.

But Leafe stood firm and gradually got on top again and any hopes the visitors had of a comeback were ended when Jamie Byatt beat the offside trap in the 75th minute, and slotted the ball past the advancing Badiali into the net.

Byatt made way for Jason Henry for the last few minutes of the game, and Henry made an immediate impact when Whyteleafe added a fourth in the 86th minute with a fine move rounded of by Henry who coolly slotted the ball past the stranded Badiali.
