Crystal Palace star Michael Olise has been tipped to leave the club in the summer, as a £60m release clause becomes active.

Olise had only recently signed a new contract, where his release clause rose from £35m to £60m.

With Olise looking as if he will not be playing his football at Selhurst Park next season, here are three players who could replace him.

Domenico Berardi, Sassuolo

The 29-year-old Italian has been a key player for Serie A side Sassuolo for several years, however with the side currently 19th in the league and at risk of relegation, Berardi could be available for a cut price.

Berardi is currently injured and likely to miss Euro 2024, after rupturing his Achilles tendon, also adding to Sassuolo’s woes.

The winger has had a fantastic career for Sassuolo, scoring 122 goals and claiming 78 assists in 314 Serie A starts. This season he has nine goals and three assists in 17 matches.

Although the Italian is 29, he would be a fantastic player for Crystal Palace, where he could take up the right-wing position in the front three and be a real goal threat from the wing.

Enzo Millot, Stuttgart

Stuttgart attacker Millot only signed a new contract during this season, however a reasonable offer will surely tempt Stuttgart into letting the Frenchman go.

Capable of playing as an attacking midfielder centrally and on the right, his positional traits are almost identical to Olise’s.

Millot has four goals and four assists this season, where he has finally broken into the Stuttgart team as a regular starter.

His current market value is €25m, according to Transfermarkt, which would be less than half of what Olise would leave the club for.

However, Stuttgart would possibly want more than the €25m due to potential interest from other clubs, with West Ham being linked previously.

Matias Soule, Frosinone

Soule has been on form for 18th place Frosinone in Serie A, with ten goals and three assists.

However, Soule is due to return to Juventus in the summer as his loan deal at Frosinone expires, so this may be a difficult deal to complete; but why not dream big?

Soule is yet to sign a new deal at Juventus, leaving his future at the club potentially in doubt. His contract currently expires in 2025.

The Argentinian has already played for the national team seven times at the age of 20. He ranks highly among Europe’s top five leagues in both progressive passes and successful take-ons.

Signing Soule could be a show of real intent from Crystal Palace.
