Twickenham Brunswick Club for Young People are on top of the ETTA Premier Table Tennis National Junior League Divisions One and Two after a barnstorming start to the new year.
David Rahbani, Tom Bell and Xuanyu Lin have all performed well so far this season to beat some highly ranked England juniors.
Division One (after three games): 1 Twickenham Brunswick 18, 2 Harefield A 17, 3 Progress A 16, 4 Progress B 14, 5 Globe Academy 13, 6 Crusaders A 13, 7 Horsham A 12, 8 Crusaders B 5.
In Division Two, Charlie Rahbani and Tony Egan have won all of their games, with Jack Tubby and Nunzio Amitrano also making excellent contributions to help Twickenham build up a six-point lead at the top.
Division Two (after three games): 1 Twickenham Brunswick B 26, 2 Hillingdon 20, 3 Harefield B 19, 4 Horsham B 18, 5 Crusaders D 14, 6 Kensington Progress 13, 7 Progress D 10, 8 Progress C 8, 9 Islington A 7, 10 Progress E 0.
Twickenham Brunswick are in mid-table in the first, second and third divisions of the National Cadet League.
In the U15 age group, the Division Three team of James Corner, John Barman and Alex Rahbani are all year five and six pupils who, in spite of their age, are giving a good account of themselves.
