Pat Wright was the first runner home for Tadworth AC in the South of the Thames five-mile cross-country race at Reigate Priory Park.
In driving rain, he finished 14th of 215 runners in 30 minutes, 52 seconds. The Tadworth men’s team was placed 17th on four to score.
Other Tadworth times included: Dave Williamson (45th, 33.48), Geoff Newton (107th, 39.11), Nigel Catlow (131st 41.45) and Alan Matthews (138th 42.40).
In the women’s race, Hazel Imeson was 36th in 41:57, helping the team to 12th place on four to score. Jane Munn (45th 43.27), Mary Matthews (57th, 45.30) and Lindsay Dunn (64th 48.50).
