One of Hercules Wimbledon Athletic Club's newest signings, Lisa Crow, made a winning debut for the club in the Wimbledon Common parkrun on Saturday.

Crow, a talented 800m track runner in her younger days, was returning to racing after taking a break following a hectic summer when she was part of the BBC's London Olympics and Paralympics TV production team.

Her winning run in the women's race, where she covered the 5km in 20 minutes, 32 seconds, completed a hat-trick of wins in the event for Wimbledon-based Crow - her previous successes came in February and April when she clocked faster times of 20.07 and 19.54.

While she won the women's race on Wimbledon Common, she was the fifth Hercules Wimbledon finisher in the 269-strong field.

Andrew Davies was eighth in 18.59, David Grima 17th in 19.26, Peter Collins 25th in 19.53 and James Wallace 28th and first veteran over-50 in 20.14.

Charles Hampden-Smith was fifth veteran over-50 20.41 with David Gold 45th in 21.23 and Adam Fenton 52nd in 21.37. Charles Lawrie was top veteran over-60, finishing 78th in 23.04.
