Despite having a bad day at the office in Holland last Sunday, James Ellington insists he is fully focused on his preparations for the forthcoming British Championships and World trials.
The-29-year-old from Croydon failed to make any impression during his fifth place 10.34secs clocking in men's 100m at the AA Drink FBK Games IAAF World Challenge event.
Enfield's young sprint sensation Chijindu Ujah claimed victory in 10.09secs followed by South African Akani Simbone (10.12secs) and former Chelsea FC youth academy player Adam Gemili (10.19secs).
"It was a bad race, I wasn't in it at all," said Ellington.
"But I'm in better shape than that so I'm not too worried."
Since his outdoor season began in the warmer climates of Florida, USA, Ellington has fully put his emphasis on securing his place in the GB squad for the World Championships come trials time which takes place on the first weekend of July at Birmingham Alexandra stadium.
"Training has been going good but as Iike I said before the most important thing is the trials and the champs," Ellington continued.
"It was frustrating because I wanted to speed up now and run faster than I get beaten."
