Carshalton Athletic’s new boss Stuart Massey endured a miserable weekend after his side went down 2-0 at home to bottom club Cray Wanderers.

The reverse, in only Massey’s second game in charge, leaves the Robins joint bottom, with only Cray’s vastly inferior goal difference keeping them off the foot of the table.

There was no better news for Hampton & Richmond where goals from Dave Tarpey and Joe Turner were scant consolation for a 7-2 hammering at high-flying Maidstone United.

Met Police and Lewes played out a 0-0 draw at Imber Court, while Kingstonian’s trip to Grays Athletic was postponed.

Leatherhead returned to action at Fetcham Grove after the Christmas flooding and continued their rich vein of form at the expense of Hastings United.

Goals from Tom Bradbrook (two) and Kev Terry sealed a comfortable 3-0 win, and keeps the Tanners in second spot behind Peavehaven & Telscombe.

Walton & Hersham conceded five goals for the second consecutive match, going down 5-2 at Three Bridges – Peter Wedgeworth and Greg Andrews getting the Swans’ goals.

Sol Pinnock grabbed Tooting & Mitcham’s goal in a 2-1 defeat at Guernsey, while Walton Casuals were losing 2-1 at home to Whitstable Town when the match was abandoned due to floodlight failure.

Corinthian Casuals’ match at Herne Bay did not get off the ground after it was postponed.
