Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis is a man waiting on goals, and he believes his new signings will end that wait.

Among the four new names brought into Selhurst Park, Pulis recruited Tom Ince on loan from Blackpool and Joe Ledley on a permanent deal from Celtic.

Pulis believes the duo, along with the soon to return Glenn Murray, will add goals to the Eagles’ new-found resilience in defence.

Murray, out injured since twisting his knee in the play-off semi-final against Brighton in May, was due to feature in the U21s match at Brighton on Monday night as his rehabilitation continued.

Pulis said: “The business we have done in January was about finding goals from all areas of the pitch.

“We have Tom Ince, who can score goals from out wide, and Joe Ledley who has a great goal-scoring record from midfield.

“Glenn is nearly fit, and so we’re going to have goals coming in from all over the pitch.

“We need to keep our resilience and fighting spirit, but with these three, we will be more of a threat going forward.”
