Nine Crystal Palace players have been called up for international duty next week, including five players who will be representing the home nations.

All of them will be hopeful of landing a place in their respective national squads ahead of the Euro 2016 qualifiers, which begin in September.

Barry Bannan will travel with Gordon Strachan’s Scotland squad to Warsaw to take on Poland - who, coincidentally, were drawn alongside Scotland in group D of their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.

Meanwhile Danny Gabbidon, Jonny Williams, Wayne Hennessey and Joe Ledley make up a quartet of players selected by Chris Coleman to represent Wales in their friendly with Iceland next Wednesday.

Wales, having been drawn against Belgium, Israel, Andorra, Borsnia and Herzegovina, and Cyprus in a relatively easy group B, must now fancy themselves to qualify for their first major competition since 1958.

Jonny Parr was also called up into the Norway squad for their game with the Czech Republic, and will be hopeful of winning his 10th cap during the friendly in Prague.

Elsewhere, Adlene Guedioura has been included in Algeria’s squad in their World Cup preparations as they face Slovenia, while Adrian Mariappa could add to his tally of 15 Jamaican caps as they play Grenada in a friendly.

Finally, Palace skipper Mile Jedinak will be in action when Australia take on Ecuador in another World Cup warm-up fixture at Millwall's home, The Den.

The Socceroos have been drawn in a tough group alongside 2010 winners Spain, the Netherlands and Chile, and Jedinak will be looking to cement his place in the Aussies side ahead of the showpiece tournament in Brazil.
