Crystal Palace midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi has dropped out of the Premier League to join Cardiff City of the Championship.
The Bluebirds finished bottom of the top-flight table last season, and boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is rebuilding his side ahead of a promotion campaign.
The Norwegian has already signed Adam Le Fondre from Reading, Spaniards Federico Macheda and Javi Guerra, as well as Guido Burgstaller, the Austrian midfielder, and now KG.
It is believed the out of contract KG turned down an offer from the Eagles, allowing the 29-year-old's move to Wales.
KG told the Cardiff City website: “I’m delighted to join Cardiff City. The manager was persistent in wanting to bring me here, which always means a lot to a player.
"Growing up I was a big fan of the way he played and I can’t wait to get started with my new team-mates in training."
He added: “Having played at the stadium and against Cardiff on a number of occasions I’m really looking forward to my first game in front of the Cardiff City fans.
"Like Crystal Palace fans, they are extremely passionate and love football. I’ll be sure to give them 100 per cent effort in trying to get us promoted back to the Premier League.”
The South African joined Palace from Fulham in July 2011 after an initial three-month loan spell.
In that time, he made 110 appearances - including 26 in the the Premier Division - scoring six goals.
