Spanish midfielder Marcos Tebar Ramiro’s signature and new deals for winger Stuart Dallas and keeper David Button lightened boss Mark Warburton’s mood after Clayton Donaldson’s Griffin Park exit this week.
Ramiro, who made 25 appearances in La Liga for Almeria last season signed a two-year deal on Wednesday to join the manager’s Championship project on the same day Donaldson, right, completed a move to rivals Birmingham City.
While Dallas and Button penned contract extensions on Thursday.
And Warburton had thought he’d agreed a deal for Donaldson too.
“We offered Clayton a very good two-year contract with an option for a third year,” he said.
“Every indication was given that the offer was more than acceptable. However, the way football works means clubs get mixed messages and, as a result, Clayton has joined another club.”
