Julian Speroni has warned the defensive errors which have plagued them cannot continue as managerless Crystal Palace look to recover quickly from a traumatic start to the season.
The Eagles were once again undone by two set pieces in Saturday’s 3-1 Selhurst reverse against West Ham, just as they were seven days earlier at Arsenal.
And Speroni knows his side need to recapture the organisation and defensive strength which saw him beaten only once from a set piece under Tony Pulis’ stewardship.
The keeper explained: “I am disappointed with how we have conceded the goals today because it is set pieces again which have undone us.
“That is not something we are used to and we need to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
“I think we only conceded one last season from a set piece under Tony which was against Liverpool, so we are not used to it and need to make sure we fix it.”
The Eagles travel to Walsall in the League Cup tomorrow before a long trip to Newcastle at the weekend.
