Bees boss Mark Warburton believes breaking in to the Championship’s top six is no more than his side deserve.

An Andre Gray double and a Danny Shittu own goal secured a thrilling 3-2 triumph at Millwall on Saturday to make it three wins from their past three games.

The result, coming after wins over Derby County and Nottingham Forest in the past week, moved Warburton’s men up to sixth in the table ahead of the international break.

And with the home visit of Fulham looming large on the horizon the manager could not be have been happier.

“We’re delighted ahead of the international break. To play the way they did in that atmosphere spoke volumes about the team,” he said.

“They are all big games. Every game is a cup final. Whether you play bottom of the table or top it is still three points.

“We’re delighted to get nine points out of nine this week. It puts us in the top six and that is testament to their quality.”
