Kingstonian defender Josh Casey is flattered Kingsmeadow landlords AFC Wimbledon are keeping tabs on him, but admits it would take a very good offer to tempt him out of semi-pro football, writes Stuart Amos.
The 23-year-old full back, right, is being tracked by the League Two Dons and Conference Premier outfit Aldershot Town.
The two clubs have had representatives in the crowd over the last fortnight and in particular for Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Duwlich Hamlet.
But the trainee accountant, who is under contract at Kingsmeadow, admitted it would take a lot to tempt him in to the professional ranks.
“It would have to be a good offer. I’m under contract and there have been no offers I’m aware of,” said Casey.
“I’m not going to say I’d never leave because every footballer wants to play at the hightest level they can.
“I’m flattered people are looking at me, but that does not interest me.
“I just want to do well for the team.”
