Kingstonian goalkeeper Rob Tolfrey remains under investigation by the Football Association’s disciplinary department over ugly scenes at Kingsmeadow last month.
The 27-year-old climbed over perimeter fencing to tussle with away fans after the final whistle of his side’s 2-1 Ryman Premier League defeat to Bognor Regis Town on February 23.
The FA last week ruled the Rocks had no case to answer over the incident – video footage of which has been viewed by thousands worldwide on You Tube.
Allegations of racial abuse have also been dismissed after Ks midfielder Alex Addai provided a written statement denying any such abuse had occurred.
“In addition to the incident itself, we had received an allegation of racial abuse which the FA quite rightly take very seriously,” said Bognor Regis Town secretary Simon Cook in a statement on the club’s website.
“Having considered the detailed report submitted by the club and with the benefit of the CCTV evidence, the FA concluded the club do not have a case to answer on either point.
“The FA has not yet concluded their investigation into Rob Tolfrey's part in the incident.
“Bognor Regis Town FC would particularly like to thank Kingstonian player Alex Addai who submitted a statement denying any racial abuse had occurred, as well as Kingstonian themselves who were extremely helpful and co-operative at all times.”
Meanwhile, boss Tommy Williams' men kept themselves in the play-off race with a 2-1 home win over Witham Town on Saturday, thanks to goals from Josh Casey and Pelayo Pico Gomez.
