Brentford might have the upper hand on Fulham when it comes to the Championship, but boss Mark Warburton is warning his men will not be in for an easy ride at Craven Cottage.

The Bees head to their noisy neighbours tomorrow well in the race for a place in the play-offs, despite a surprise 2-2 draw with Millwall at Griffin Park last time out.

They then entertain Nottingham Forest on Monday in a big weekend of action that is likely to play a big part in where the Bees will finish this campaign.

Fulham are struggling at the wrong end of the table, while Forest would have been termed a play-off six pointer had it been played a few weeks ago.

The Bees have beaten both teams already this season with Jota’s late strike accounting for the Whites at home in November, while Jon Toral, Andre Gray and England U21 international Alex Pritchard scored in a 3-1 win at the City Ground the same month.

But Warburton is not looking beyond a Fulham side he still believes have Premier League quality in their ranks.

“Make no bones about it Fulham are one of the big clubs in this league,” he said.

“They might not be up at the top but they have a big budget and were a Premier League team only last season.

“The last time I looked at their squad they had Hugo Rodallega, Bryan Ruiz, a striker like Ross McCormack and of course Scott Parker.

“That is a very, very talented squad in anyone’s book and they are scrapping very, very hard for the Championship lives.”

He added: “We are taking 6,000 fans with us – which is a great achievement for this club.

“It will be a great atmosphere and a very tough game for us.”

Defender Moses Odubajo made his England U20 debut last Friday in a 1-1 draw with Mexico that ended with a penalty shoot-out triumph at Barnet.

And Pritchard was an influential substitute as England U21 came from 2-1 down to beat Germany 3-2 in Middlesbrough on Monday.
