Croydon police arrested the 34-year-old man from Welling on Friday morning on suspicion of violent disorder and attempted criminal damage.

He was taken to a south London police station, before being bailed until mid-January.

The arrest was the latest of a series in connection with violence that broke out between Crystal Palace and Charlton fans during the teams' Capital One cup match at Selhurst Park on September 23.

In a number of raids in London and Kent last Wednesday, police arrested six people, including a 16-year-old boy, in connection with disorder both inside and outside the ground.

Following those arrests, Zach Ellis, 20, of Tower Hamlets, was charged with assault by beating. He has been bailed, and will appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court on December 10.

The other five have been bailed until mid-January.

Kayla, who was been cawing on the Eagle's since 2010, is a popular presence at Selhurst Park.

When she is not attending home games, she spends her time at the Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation in Eynford.

Earlier this year it was reported that the foundation faced closure after experiencing financial difficulties.
