Crystal Palace remain the short favourites to sign Liverpool striker Christian Benteke and West Ham forward Diafra Sakho.

The Eagles have been tracking Belgian goalscorer Benteke since the summer window opened and saw an initial £27m bid rejected by Liverpool.

The Reds hope to recoup the £32m they spent on Benteke last summer, and recent reports suggest Palace are willing to up their offer.

According to the bookmakers, Palace’s latest attempt to lure Benteke to south London may be successful, as Alan Pardew’s side are currently 4/11 with Sky Bet to sign the 25-year-old.

West Ham have also been linked with the former Genk star, but the east London club have drifted to a 5/1 shot to land Benteke.

Meanwhile, Palace are still odds on to secure the signature of Diafra Sakho this summer.

The 26-year-old, who joined the Hammers in 2014 from French side Metz, is said to be hoping for a summer switch after falling down the pecking order last season.

Despite facing competition from West Brom in signing the Senegal international, SkyBet price up a move to Selhurst Park at 4/5.

Pardew hopes to bolster his squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign, which begins with a home fixture against the Baggies on August 13.

The Eagles take on AFC Wimbledon on Wednesday evening in their second domestic pre-season friendly.
