Brentford will be travelling away to Bramall Lane in Yorkshire to face Sheffield United on August 5 when the 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship kicks off.
The Bees, who finished in 10th last year under manager Dean Smith, will go in with some optimism since they have not lost to their opening day opponents in their previous four meetings.
Other key dates on the calendar include a Boxing Day clash with Aston Villa at Griffin Park followed by a meeting with Sheffield Wednesday four days later to round off 2017 on December 30.
Brentford will ntertain recently-relegated Hull City at home on the last day of the league season on May 6.
The club were able to stabilise their Championship status for the second consecutive season and now aim to improve on it with a play-off spot by May.
One of the most prominent reinforcements in the squad is Danish defender Henrik Dalsgaard from Belgian club Zulte Waregem for an undisclosed fee, arriving alongside Theo Archibald and Luke Daniels from Celtic and Scunthorpe United respectively.
