AFC Wimbledon FA Cup tie with Coventry City to be moved and televised
AFC Wimbledon’s FA Cup first round clash at the Cherry Red Records stadium with Coventry City has been moved to Friday November 8, and will screened live on BT Sport (7.45 pm kick-off).
The tie, originally set for Saturday November 9, brings together two previous FA Cup winners.
However, since Coventry won in 1987, the year before Wimbledon’s memorable triumph in 1988, neither have enjoyed any significant cup success.
The Dons sit 15th in League Two, 27 places below the Sky Blues in 12th in League One - and it the visitors who have the better form.
Prior to this weekend's visit of Notts County, they are six games unbeaten, while the Dons, ahead of the trip to Rochdale, have not won in six.
