AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley slammed his players for not having the drive to fight back against Bury on Saturday.

The Dons went down 2-0 at promotion chasing Bury, with the killer goal coming in the 77th minute from Ryan Lowe.

It means Ardley’s men, who conclude the domestic season this weekend at home to the already relegated Cheltenham Town, are without a win in seven League Two, and have only scored four goals in that time.

Moreover, the Dons have not won on the road since the Boxing Day win at Portsmouth.

A Womble's View: The wait continues for a 2015 away win, but it's not the end of the world

Ardley said: “The thing that disappoints me the most is that we fought up until the point we went 2-0 down – then it became a training match.

"That's not Wimbledon, that's not me and there wasn't enough hurt and enough drive to get us back in, because if we had got one, I think we would have got back into the game.”

He added: “I hate losing, I hate the fact these fans have travelled all this way to come and watch a game against a team at the top and gone home disappointed, despite seeing that we have the makings of some good players."
