Speculation over former Watford man's appointment is "guess work"

Unconfirmed: Robert Page (in action for Coventry City) has not been unveiled as the new Dons manager
AFC Wimbledon have refused to confirm that former Watford defender Robert Page has been offered the vacant manager's position.
Informed sources at the club say press speculation over the 38-year-old's appointment is pure guess work and that no official announcement will be made until 4pm this afternoon when the new man is presented to the media.
While Page was one of the candidates who reached D-day on Monday, the board also interviewed current caretaker manager Simon Bassey, along with two other names, thought to include former Wimbledon midfielder Neal Ardley.
The Dons have been searching for a new manager since Terry Brown was sacked last month.
