Young Crystal Palace forward Sullay Kaikai signs new deal
Crystal Palace youngster Sullay Kaikai has signed a new long-term contract at the club.
The 18-year-old has been with the club’s academy since the age of 14 and has had a good season for Palace’s development side this season.
He has scored six goals in ten games this season and has also performed well in a number of friendly games.
Kaikai has been named in a number of the first-team’s recent match day squads but has yet to make the bench yet.
He told the official club website cpfc.co.uk: “I feel like it's a great achievement and that all my hard work has paid off, so I'd like to thank the club for awarding me the contract.
“I feel like I've adapted quite well this season in the development league.
"Last season I played a few games at that level and that helped me find my feet and it's been a good step for me to be playing regularly for them, so now the aim is to push on into the first team.
“When you play with players in the younger age groups and you see them progress it gives you the mindset that you can progress as well.
"Hiram Boateng started on the weekend so it gives me hope that I can do the same thing.
“I just hope to train with the first team more often from now on and if I get given the chance I'll hopefully take it.”
