Crystal Palace striker Kwesi Appiah made his debut for Notts County last night after completing a one-month loan move to the League One strugglers.

Unfortunately for the 23-year-old, who came off the bench at Peterborough United, it was a losing start in a 4-3 defeat.

Appiah, who has made seven first team appearances for the Eagles, has already enjoyed a successful loan earlier this when he went to Skrill South outfit Cambridge United and scored 10 goals in 17 games.

The move to the County Ground sees Appiah link up with former Palace midfielder Shaun Derry, after he took over as manager in November 2013.

But before signing his loan deal at Notts County, Appiah also put pen to paper on a one-year extension to his contract at Selhurst Park, which ties him to Palace until the summer of 2015.

The club also have the option of extending this deal by a further two years.
