A Crystal Palace fanzine is hoping to help a young girl’s wish to walk by auctioning off a piece of Palace memorabilia.

The Five Year Plan Fanzine created a limited edition Julian Speroni poster which pictures two of the keeper’s best saves from last season.

Designed by FYP’s Jesse Boyce, the team presented the poster to Speroni after their 100th podcast.

The group are now auctioning off the poster on twitter with money raised going towards Scarlett Hewitt, whose family are trying to raise £65,000 to pay for a life changing operation which will allow her to walk.

Currently the top bid is £350 and anyone who wants to bid even higher just has to tweet the hashtag #SperoniPoster. The closing date is April 1 at 5pm.

Scarlett Hewitt, whose family are all Palace fans, has been accepted to have a selective dorsal rhizotomy operation which will reduce the spasticity in her legs and enable her to walk unaided.

But this operation is not available on the NHS so her family are having to raise the money for her to be treated at the St Louis Children’s Hospital in Missouri.

So far more than £10,000 has been raised. Which included donations from Crystal Palace's fiercist rivals Brighton and Eagle's chairman Stephen Browett.

Jim Daly, the creator of the Five Year Plan fanzine, said: “We were lucky enough to have Julian Speroni come on the 100th FYP podcast last week and our graphic guy Jesse Boyce - who designs the fanzine - made him a super cool Speroni poster.

“We thought we could get Jules to sign one and we'd auction it off for charity. We saw Scarlett's Wish to Walk on the BBS and decided that would be a perfect cause to raise money for.

"Palace is one big family and Eagles fans are amazing and supporting and helping their own when the need arises.

“We've had loads of interest in the poster already and some very generous bids and we hope we get even more to help Scarlett and her family out."
