Crystal Palace moved six points clear of the Premier League drop zone with a 1-0 win at Leicester City, but midfielder James McArthur insists the Eagles are not out of trouble yet.

Joe Ledley headed a 55th minute winner to win a game the Foxes dominated for large stretches and for a time it seemed only keeper Julian Speroni stood between them and three points.

It was Palace's fifth win in six games under new manager Alan Pardew and came against one of the club's main rivals in the battle against the drop.

But McArthur reckoned there was plenty of work still to be done.

A lot people might think we are out of this, but are not.  We are still in the relegation battle," he said.

"Until we are mathematically safe we still have to keep winning games and pushing each other."

Speroni saved from Riyad Mahrez and Jeffrey Schlupp in the first half and thwarted Jamie Vardy in the closing stages to ensure the three points went back to Selhurst Park.

And his efforts were not lost on McArthur.

"He was excellent. It's great to have someone like that behind you. It was extra sepcial for him to get a cleansheet," he added.

"We've conceded a few goals and they've been nothing to do with him, so to get a cleansheet is great for the team and great for him."
