Yannick Bolasie has praised teammate Fraizer Campbell following the striker’s two goals in as many matches for Crystal Palace.

Campbell scored the equaliser against Newcastle last week before netting the opening goal in Saturday’s 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Liverpool.

The goals take the former Cardiff City striker’s tally to five goals in all competitions, lifting him to joint second in the top scoring ranks.

Despite the defeat, Bolasie felt Campbell’s goal scoring made his job even easier.

Bolasie said: “It’s always good to see strikers scoring and for myself [being a provider for the striker] is even better because you know all you have to do is supply him.

“You know he’s in red-hot form and I’m sure he’s looking forward to the next games coming up.”

Palace face Arsenal at Selhurst Park on Saturday as they look to make it four wins in six Premier League matches since Alan Pardew took charge at the club.

Pardew has guided Palace to five points clear of the relegation zone and they are now just six points off the top 10 heading into this weekend.

Bolasie, who expects a difficult game against Arsenal, says his teammates are looking to respond following their FA Cup exit.

“Arsenal are a London club and it’s a derby. I am sure we have to really turn up next week as it’s going to be a tough game,” he said.

“The manager is looking forward to it and I am sure the players are going to react from the Liverpool’s result, especially after losing.”
