Brede Hangeland has spoken of his “delight” after committing to Crystal Palace for another year.
The 33-year-old defender was among 18 players named on the club’s list of released players last week, although it was made clear then negotiations on a new deal with some of those remained ongoing.
And the Norwegian, who arrived from Fulham last summer, today penned a 12-month extension to keep him in SE25.
He told cpfc.co.uk: “I’m delighted to have signed with Crystal Palace for the new season.
“I have really enjoyed working under Alan Pardew and we have a very talented squad who are all a really good bunch of lads to be around.
“These are very exciting times at the club and I look forward to playing a part in making next year in another successful one.”
