Mile Jedinak was delighted Crystal Palace ended their 14-game winless run against Norwich on Sunday, but the Australian is focused on gathering momentum before the upcoming FA Cup semi-final.

Jason Puncheon’s goal lifted Palace ten points clear of the relegation zone with just six games left to play.

And Jedinak admitted there was relief in the dressing room following the win, but revealed it will be hard to enjoy it for too long.

“Everyone’s happy we got the three points,” he said. “I think it’s just a little bit hard, obviously we enjoy it for a couple of days but we’ve got a big game on Wednesday.

“Having another game at home is going to be awesome, against a side who – again – are very good on their day as well, not an easy feat.

“It’s going to be a tricky task, we’re gong to have to get up for it again, but if we show the spirit we showed again and a bit more then you never know.”

The Eagles now sit just three points off the much coveted 40-point mark, but Jedinak is just focused on putting together a run off the back of their victory.

“They always say that’s the mark isn’t it,” he said.

“We’ve just got to worry about trying to get there and getting some form of result on the back of this would be awesome, just get a little run going, we all know how important that is in this division.

“Especially with the games we’ve got to come, it’ll be great for the group.”

Although the players are not trying to look too far ahead to the FA Cup semi- final against Watford on 24 April, Jedinak admitted he would love to gather a winning streak ahead of the tie.

The 31-year-old said: “Putting that on the back of your mind, of course there’s still a lot of football to be played before that, but who wouldn’t want a bit of momentum going into that game?

“We haven’t helped ourselves in the previous rounds by not having any momentum in the league but you never know, it could do us well.”

Palace face Everton at Selhurst Park on Wednesday night knowing a win could almost guarantee safety.
