Wilfried Zaha insists he doesn’t mind receiving a hostile reception when Crystal Palace face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

The winger, who had been with the Eagles since the age of 12, was sold to United for £15million in January 2013, but eventually returned to Palace in 2015.

And while Zaha admits United supporters are often waiting for him to make a mistake to justify his departure, he is only interested in playing well for the Eagles.

“My time at United has gone and I don’t mind if I get booed,” he said.

“I still have Man United followers on Twitter. They might wait until I make a mistake in a game or something, and they’ll come out with something like ‘that’s why you got sold’.

“I just think you’re either following me or you don’t. That stage when I was at Man United has gone now and I’m a Crystal Palace player.”

Zaha says that despite his history with the Premier League giants, the clash will be just another game for him.

“I am just trying to progress in my career, so going back to Old Trafford will be like playing at any other stadium,” the 23-year-old added.

“I am just going to do my best as usual.”
