Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha could be set for a shock departure this summer after an alleged contract breakdown.

The Sun claim Zaha feels misled by the Eagles as he believed he would be offered a new deal following the 2015/16 season.

A new contract would see the England international’s salary compete with the likes of Zohan Cabaye and Andros Townsend – but no new deal was on the table.

Zaha, 23, has flourished since returning to south London from Manchester United in 2015 and his contract situation has alerted Premier League rivals Watford, according to the Sun.

Meanwhile, Alan Pardew’s side continue to be linked with big-name strikers with Christian Benteke and Saido Berahino rumoured to be priority targets.

And winger Yannick Bolasie says the club deserve to be linked with players of the stature of Benteke and Berahino.
