BLACKPOOL 2 v 2 CRYSTAL PALACE
Apologies to everyone for the late starting of our commentary today - I only just got here due to the horrendous M6.
I've been informed the first 25 mintues have been poor and no real chances. The wind is playing havoc with everything but I must be Palace's lucky charm as we;ve just scored!
GOAL: Ifill fires left footed into the top corner after the ball spilt to him 18 yards out. He took it past one man and finished well.
No idea what time that was sorry, might be the 23rd minutes I heard someone say. Warnock has made two changes to the side for this game. McCarthy has replaced Fonte - who is not in the 16 - at the
back while Oster is in for Moses.
I feel a bit sorry for the Palace fans opposite me, they are in a tiny stand with the wind blowing the rain straight in their faces and no cover. Can't be nice.
Southern and Carle have a little niggle at each other in the middle of the park just after Derry clatteed into Gow and was lucky to escape a booking.
Taylor-Fletcher teases Hill but his cross is just beyond everyone.
Cannot help wondering if Fonte's absence is because of what happened Tuesday with Derry. Warnock said he wasn't going to punish the two but it seems strange he is not in the squad at all.
Palace have the wind behind them this half which is sometimes helping, sometimes not.
Speroni tips over Barker;s header froma good corner was a good save as it bounced up and almost over him. Edwards's header from Jorgenson's resultant corner drifts just wide.
HALF TIME: From what I have seen Palace have been comfortbale for the main part today, though Blackpool were beginning to press towards the end. Palace will be against the wind after the break
which will mess up any long balls so it has got to be on the deck.
46 min: No changes by either side and we're off again. I've been informed that McCarthy hit the post from an Oster corner after five minutes.
48 min: GOAL! Burgess scores. A neat passage of play ended up with Jorgensson crossing and Carle's header away was caught in the wind for Burgess to volley brilliantly into the bottom corner.
49 min: GOAL! Beattie restores Palace's lead curling into the bottom corner from Watson's throughball.
Attendance: 7,597 with 759 Palace fans - not bad.
51 min: YELLOW CARD: Evatt booked for a foul on Beattie, who took is goal really well but was given far too much time by the Blackpool defence to pick his spot fom 18 yards.
55 min: SUB: Ifill off, Kuqi on. Beattie goes wide left.
56 min: YELLOW CARD: McCarthy booked for a pull back on Gow. Good game at the minute but the conditions are horrible as Kuqi clears Jorgensen's free-kick at the back post.
63 min: It's got a bit scrappy but it's not the type of game for flicks and back heels. Kuqi took on the whole Blackpool defence just now with a 40 yard run but his final touch was too heavy and
straight through to Rachubka.
64 min: Good work from Coid down the left and Gow just miscontrols his centre when in acres of space in the middle and Speroni gathers.
65 min: GOAL! Evatt equalises and it's a poor goal for Palace to concede. Rachubka's free-kick from the half way line went all the way to the six yard box and Evatt headed in unmarked. Not sure who
was marking him but fingers seemed to be pointed at Kuqi.
68 min: Palace survive penalty shouts from Blackpool as Gow tumbles over Lawrence's challenge but nothing is given. Quite rightly I think too.
69 min: SUB: Oster off, Moses on.
73 min: Scramble in the Palace box from a corner as Evatt gets two bites at tehe cherry but good defending stops him before Burgess flashes wildly wide. Blackpool on top but Palace counter through
Kuqi who lays it to Beattie but his cross or shot is poor and the chance results in a Palace corner that is eventually cleared.
76 min: SUB: Southern off, Hammill on. Beattie is limping for Palace as Moses gets away with an horrendous error as he gives Blackpool the ball on the edge of the Eagles box.
78 min: Gow fires over from 30 yards after a brilliant but of control and skill.
80 min: Blackpool should be infront as they carve Palace apart and Hammill goes through one on one with Speroni but shoots a foot wide. He cannot blame the wind for that one and Palace are living
83 min: Kuqi uses his power to almost bundle through but doesn't get the break.
87 min: Panic stations for Palace at the minute as Blackpool float in lots of high balls and again they should be ahead. Hammill crossed to the back post and the unmarked Burgess and his diving
header was woefully over. Should have scored.
87 min: SUB: Derry off, Danns on and McCarthy takes over captaincy.
88 min: SUB: Taylor-Fletcher off, Mitchley on.
90 min: Four minutes added on.
93 min: Late corner for Palace but it is cleared ahead of Kuqi.
FULL TIME: A point for Palace in horrible conditions and they cannot complain as a draw was a fair result, though they will not be happy about the way they conceded the second equaliser. You will
be pleased to know there are no Palace players fighting at the final whistle today. Next up is Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night, see you then.
