CRYSTAL PALACE 0 v 1 BLACKPOOL

Welcome to this afternoon's game at Selhurst Park as Neil Warnock attempts to turn around an alarming recent slump of form.

He makes three changes to the side that lost at Charlton on Tuesday, with Lee Hills, Alan Lee and Victor Moses coming in for Matt Lawrence, Sean Scannell and Paul Ifill - the latter of which isn't even on the bench, while James Scowcroft and loan signing Rui Fonte are subs for the afternoon.

Palace: Speroni, Butterfield, Hill, Fonte, Hills, Derry (c), Carle, Oster, Moses, Lee, Kuqi. Subs: Lawrence, Scowcroft, Scannell, Danns, Fonte.

Blackpool: Rachubka, Coid, Evatt, O'Donovan, Campbell, Vaughan, Taylor-Fletcher, Fox, John-Baptiste, Barker, Marshall. Subs: Martin, Gilks, Owens, Ormerod, Harte.

It's really quite cold here today but that hasn't stopped Palace media supremo Terry Byfield doing away with his coat and parading around in just a shirt and tie - sheer madness, he must have geordie blood in him.

S0 with both Lee and Kuqi on the pitch it will be interesting to see how Palace line up today and whether we will switch to 4-4-2. The introduction of Lee Hills at left back looks good too and will appease many a Palace fan who have been calling for that for a while.

min: Palace get under way and Moses wins a corner from the kick off. It's cleared back to Oster who gives it to Carle to fire low at goal from the edge of the box but it is easy for Rachubka. There was a pre-match huddle by Palace by the way - they don't usually do those.

min: RED CARD. Blackpool down to 10 as the Kuqi and Lee combination reaps rewards straight away. Lee wins a header and Evatt misjudges his back pass gifting it to Kuqi. He rounds Rachubka and the keeper brings him down outside the box. Ref Marriner has no choice but to send him off.

min: SUB: Marshall - who was making his league debut - is subbed and replaced by Gilks. Oster bends the free kick on to the top of the cross bar.

min: Looks very like 4-4-2 for Palace with Oster wide right and Moses wide left.

min: O'Donovan puts a lovely ball in for Campbell that sees him escape Fonte for a second but the Portuguese just gets a toe to it though he caught a lot of the man too and might just be a bit lucky there.

min: Kuqi heads Oster's deep cross towards goal and Gilks tips over. Carle's corner is poor.

min: Oster and Carle link up well on the edge of the box but the former can only shoot on to the roof of the net. The Eagles haven't really made the most of the space yet.

min: YELLOW CARD. Fonte booked for hauling back Campbell as he tried to get on to a long ball. It was a lonf way out and quite wide which probably saved him from anything more serious.

min: Good save from Gilks as he comes out to smother at Kuqi's feet after a lovely ball from Carle put him through.

min: Barker heads Oster's free kick away under pressure from Kuqi. Palace look comfortable but they are not dominating the way they should be.

min: Palace go very close as Oster crosses across the six-yard box but neither Moses or Lee can get a touch.

min: The atmosphere is poor today - no noise whatsoever and already a few disillusioned shouts because Palace aren't battering the ten men from the seaside.

min: Blackpool earn their first corner of the game and almost score from it. Fox swings the ball in from the right and Evatt heads into the side netting at the near post.

min: PENALTY AND GOAL. Blackpool get a spot kick as Oster stupidly stick a leg out and brings down O'Donovan. Campbell steps up and sends Speroni the wrong way. Seconds earlier Speroni had made a good save from O'Donovan as Blackpool cut through their defence with ease.

min: Palace look like a side with no confidence and no ideas out there and there are bound to be boos at half time.

min: Four minutes added on and the Palace players can expect a half time rocket from Warnock.

min: Vaughan almost puts through his own net as Moses cross comes to him in the box but it goes wide.

HALF TIME: The whistle goes and it is greeted by a series of boox. Not good this from Palace and they need and early goal.

min: DOUBLE SUB: Scowcroft and Rui on, Carle and Lee off as we get back under way.

min: So I'll be calling the Fonte brothers Jose and Rui from now on to avoid any confusion. Oster has moved into the middle with Derry and Fonte seemingly playing just behind the front three.

min: Blackpool temporarily down to nine with Evatt getting treatment on a head wound.

min: Evatt has gone all the way down the tunnel for stitches I presume and still Pool play with nine.

min: Scowcroft gets a head to Butterfield's cross at the near post but that's easy for Gilks.

min: The crowd are better this half but they are restless and the boos ring out everytime something goes wrong. Gilks is currently catching most the crosses unopposed.

min: Evatt finally comes back on and Palace failed to make enough of his absence.

min: Free kick in a great position out wide for Palace but Oster hits the first man. poor.

min: Blackpool almost go two up as a well-worked move sees Campbell flash a shot just wide.

min: SUB: Final change from Warnock as the ineffectual Kuqi is replaced by Danns.

min: Derry plays in Hills down the left and his cross is just headed clear before Danns can get there. This is going to be a long half.

min: Palace going nowhere fast. Lots of possession but that's it. Pool almost break but Speroni is out quickly ahead of O'Donovan.

min: Attendance: 13,810 - second lowest in the league this season.

min: The ball is stuck in the middle of the park right now and Palace can't get past a resolute Blackpool midfield and defence.

min: Hill blazes over after Oster's free-kick is partially cleared by Barker - who has got his head to everything this afternoon.

min: Boos all round as Butterfield and Oster mess up in the right corner.

min: Palace get another free kick that is cleared out to Derry who lines up a shot that goes .... miles wide. No surprise there.

min: As if to sum up the Palace performance Oster overhits a free kick from the half way line right over Gilks' goal. He has been awful second half.

min: Jose has joined Rui upfront - what's the betting on a Fonte one-two for the equaliser I wonder? Though to be honest I don't know if there will be an equaliser.

min: SUB: Fox off Martin on.

min: Four minutes added on but I can't see Palace scoring.

min: SUB: Campbell off, Ormerod on.

FULL TIME: Rui has a shot off the line and then the whistle goes and the boos ring out. That was shocking and there is no other word for it. Next up is the simple visit of Birmingham on Tuesday. See you then.
