Kingstonian boss Tommy Williams has denied his side has a discipline problem after a second red card is as many games.

Alex Addai saw red in the first half at Lewes on Saturday after clashing with former AFC Wimbledon midfielder Tom Davis.

And - although the Rooks also had Sam Cole and Matt Crabb sent-off in each half - it cost Ks as they crashed 1-0 to a late goal at the Dripping Pan.

It came seven days after Steve Laidler received two yellow cards in the first half of last week's 3-3 draw with Margate - the second of which came with Ks leading 3-2.

Laidler will sit out Saturday's visit of Witham Town, while Addai will miss next week's crunch clash with play-off chasing Met Police.

Williams' men have not won in their past three Ryman Premier League encounters - a run that started with the 2-1 defeat to Bognor Regis Tow that saw goalkeeper Rob Tolfrey clash with away fans after the final whistle.

The Kingsmweadow manager has remained tight lipped over the affects that incident has had on his side's play-off hopes.

But he insisted his men did not lack for self-control as the pressure mounts with nine games of the campaign to go.

"We work very hard on our discipline and we are certainly not an ill-disciplined club," said Williams.

"Alex Addai's red was not a sending off - their lad got him sent off - and everyone in the ground was surprised at Steve Laidler's second yellow card.

"We knew Lewes would try and wind people up. Alex did not really do anything, but he got excited and got in the face of Tom Davis.

"Tom knows how to get people sent off in that situation and I told Alex he needs to learn, but I have no problem with him."

Tolfrey's clanger at the weekend - he dropped the ball at the feet of Lewes defender Ollie Rowe for the winner - means Ks are five points adrift fo the top five.

Williams insisted his men deserved more from their trip south and believes Ks are not out of the promotion race, despite sitting 11th in the table.

"We should have taken all three points. We dominated the second half in terms of possession and chances created. We missed a penalty, too," he added.

"Their manager said he could not believe how his side had managed to take all three points."

Williams added: "If you look at the table, the clubs all the way down to 14th are still in it, because no-one has grabbed fifth place and made it their own.

"We need to take maximum points on Saturday and start applying pressure on the teams above us.

"People will still drop points and there have been some funny results recently, so we believe we still have every chance. We just have to take it game-by-game."
