Carshalton Athletic have sacked manager Tommy Williams after a poor start to their Ryman Premier League season.
Williams took over at the club last September after chairman Paul Dipre stepped down from the manager's job.
A late revival helped keep the Robins in the Premier League as, although they finished second bottom, Thurrock were deducted points for fielding an ineligible player and went down instead.
But a run of only two wins and eight points from Carshalton's first 13 games has seen Williams lose his job and be replaced by head of the academy Ian Hazel.
A statement on the Carshalton website said: "The club has parted company with first team manager Tommy Williams.
"Tommy has been a big part of the Robins for many years as a player, coach and manager. His commitment and loyalty towards the club has been unquestionable. It has been an uncomfortable decision, but made in the club's best interests.
"Ian Hazel, head of academy, will be taking up the first team managers job on a long term basis with his assistant Paul Hartford."
