Molesey returned to action for the first time in a few weeks when the weather finally abated enough to allow Molesey to host Epsom and Ewell as they looked to increase their astonishing winning streak that stretches back to the middle of October and spans 12 matches.

The opening quarter of an hour was sumed up by the two flat balls that had to be removed from play after just three minutes.

Molesey hadn't played for two weeks and it certainly showed as Molesey struggled to get any sort of rhythm into their play. The only chance they could muster in this opening period of play was a James McShane shot that was easily saved by Paul Borg in Epsoms goal.

Then totally out of the blue Molesey found themselves a goal in front.

A clipped cross to the back post by James McShane found Ashley Lodge who had his shot blocked to the edge of the box by the Epsom defence.

The first to react was Andy Graves who miscued his first time shot and it fell to the feet of Lewis Ackerman who swept it home with the aid of an Epsom hand.

The game then fell into the same pattern of play as the first 15 minutes with the only chance falling to Epsom who were denied by a fine Wester Young save following a slip by Luke Elliott.

Then just after a Luke Elliott shot flew over Molesey managed to double their lead right on the stroke of half time.

James McShane was fouled but th referee allowed a good advantage to be played and McShane picked out Ashley Lodge on the far side of the pitch.

Lodge played it to the edge of the box here James McShane was running on to it and he side footed it home with his first touch to give the Moles a commanding lead at half time.

The game opened up slightly at the start of the second half when Wester Young made a good save from Ramzi Beddbeds. Then with a quick counter attack Darius Heravi forced Borg into a good save at the other end.

Just after the hour mark Heravi was forced off after taking a knock and was replaced by Paul Cross.

It was only five minutes after this that Epsoms Steve Symes went into a rash challenge and gave the referee little option but to show him his second yellow card and reducing the visitors to ten men.

Only six minutes later Epsom were reduced to just nine men when Jay Holden was given a red card for an off the ball incident.

This meant the last ten minutes were mainly spent with Molesey keeping the ball.

They went on one last charge forwards and managed to wrap up the game with seven minutes to go when Joe Pratley-Jones put a cross on Paul Cross' head and he expertly found the corner to wrap up another great result for the title chasing Moles.
