Hampton & Richmond Borough joint boss Darren Powell was delighted with a job well done in the FA Trophy on Tuesday night.
A goal in each half from Joe Turner and Charlie Moone saw off the challenge of Southern League Premier Division Bedford Town 2-0 in a replay at the Eyrie after Saturday's first round qualifying clash had ended all square at 1-1.
It means the Beavers, who set up a home tie with Ryman Premier League rivals Met Police in the next round, are unbeaten in their last 10 games going into Saturday's FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie at Skrill North side Gloucester City.
"It was always going to be tough especially with how they set up at the weekend and the conditions," said. Powell.
"But the boys played some good stuff.
"It was a good win. We'd have preferred to have got it done and dusted at the weekend, but the important thing is we are through and have got through injury free.
"We also kept our unbeaten run going, which means we should be full of confidence."
