Ks striker Jake Kempton has quit the club to join Conference South strugglers Staines Town.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster scored two goals in 10 appearances for Ks, including the only goal in a 1-0 win over Tonbridge Angels earlier this month.

Staines Town, who recently recruited ex-Brentford hero Nicky Forster as their manager after sacking Dons legend Marcus Gayle, are currently bottom of the Conference South.

Ks boss Tommy Williams' men won 3-0 at Bury Town in the Ryman Premier League on Saturday, but are nine points adrift of the top five.

Kingstonian will travel to either Margate or Burgess Hill Town in the quarter finals of the Robert Dyas League Cup.
