Whyteleafe extended their lead at the top of Southern Counties East League with a comfortable 4-0 win over Sevenoaks - the only side to have beaten Leafe in the league this season.

John Fowler's men are now six points clear, with a game in hand on second-placed Tunbridge Wells.

Moreover, they have scored 23 goals more than anyone else, and conceded six fewer than the next meanest defence.

Leafe did not have to wait long for the opening goal, Taylor Smith running on to a long through ball in the 11th minute and unleashing an unstoppable shot from 25 yards into the back of the net.

Leafe’s second came 10 minutes later when Jason Thompson curled a free kick into the goal from 22 yards.

It was 3-0 inside half an hour Leafe’s third came in the 30th minute when Thompson’s inswinging corner was headed home at the near post by Jensen Grant.

Sevenoaks had a good period of dominance for half an hour but never really threatened the Leafe goal.

The final nail was put into Sevenoaks' coffin in the dying moments of the game thanks to Greg Andrews' fine free-kick.

Fisher are the visitors to Church Road this weekend.
