Tooting & Mitcham United boss Frank Wilson has given the low-down on the next batch of players he reckons are committed to becoming a Terror next season.

Wilson has already recruited Darryl Siaw from Farnborough and Serge Makofo from Whitehawk.

Moreover, he has retained the services of Danny Summers, Max Noble, Bash Alimi, Harry Knock, TJ Nkoma and Leon Lalor-Dell.

Next up, Wilson is on the verge of recruiting Sol Patterson-Bohner – the central defender was named player of the season at Whyteleafe last term, proving pivotal to the side’s venture into the Ryman Division One South play-offs.

Striker Richard Atkins is working out personal details – Wilson said: “Richard has spent five seasons with Folkestone Invicta and played his part in reaching the play-off semi-finals for the past four or five seasons.

“We’re also expected Jordan Clarke to rejoin from Carshalton Athletic – when I became manager he was one of the first players to call me up.

“We know what he is all about and he’d be a great signing.”

After the departure of full back Nathan Gordon to Merstham, Wilson has all but agreed a deal for left-back Ollie Treacher from Farnborough.

Also about to put pen to paper is striker Gareth Chendlik from Ryman Premier Division Hampton & Richmond Borough, and midfielder Ashley Robinson from Kettering Town.

Wilson has also looked to the trial game to recruit, although competition was tough and only one name has been invited back to join the first team training.

The manager said: “We had about 100 lads registered, and we whittled that down to 38 before the trial games.

“There was only really one stand-out player – a centre back called Cristiano Neto. He’s played league football in Spain and Italy, and he looked very assured on the ball.”
