Corinthian Casuals assistant manager Dan Pringle says there is no telling what the club could achieve this term.

The King George’s Field outfit crashed out of the FA Trophy on Saturday thanks to a narrow 2-1 first round proper defeat to Southern League Premier Division Hungerford Town.

It signalled the end of the club’s best ever showing in the competition and their exit leaves them to focus on their Ryman Division One South ambitions.

Boss James Bracken’s side are 13th in the table with 23 games still to play and Pringle believes they are capable of closing the seven point gap to the division’s top five.

“We’ve still got big ambitions for the league. There are plenty of games left to achieve those,” he said.

“From this cup run, you’ve seen that when it comes to big games, every single one of the players can step up to the plate.

“There’s no-one we fear in the league. On our day, we can beat anyone.

“We’ve beaten two top quality teams from the league above, who are both going to be in and around the play-offs themselves.

“If we can emulate this Trophy run, then we’ll go on and do big things in the league.

“We play entertaining football and the players are enjoying it.

“The players we’ve got in the squad are young and, hungry. They’re not past it. They can do anything.”
