Brede Hangeland and Shola Ameobi could be heading for a Crystal Palace exit after being named on the club’s released list this afternoon.
Ameobi was only signed by Alan Pardew from Newcastle during January’s transfer window but the deal was only until the end of the season and now the 33-year-old could be on the way out.
Also potentially leaving is fellow out of contract player Brede Hangeland, who made a rare start under Pardew in the final day 1-0 home win over Swansea on May 24.
However, it isn’t certain yet they will definitely be departing because Palace remain in talks with several of the 18 players named on the release list.
Those named today as released are: Ameobi, Sonny Black, Michael Chambers, Shawniki Clement-Peter, Bradley Comins, Kyle De Silva, Stephen Dobbie, Morgan Ferrier, Owen Garvan, Hangeland, Jahmal Howlett-Mundle, Elliott List, Joel Lumeya, Kiye Martin, Lewis Price, Peter Ramage, Ghassimu Sow and Jerome Thomas.
