Kingstonian made it two wins out of two in the Ryman Premier Division after seeing off Enfield Town 3-0 at Kingsmeadow on Monday night.
A Michael Ewang own-goal, Ryan Moss’s first goal of the season and a last-minute Peter Sweeney strike were the difference between two sides evenly matched for much of the 90 minutes.
And but for the presence of Rob Tolfrey, the scoreline could have been different but the stopper proved unbeatable for the second consecutive game.
There were few chances in the first half and it was out of the blue when Ewang nodded a Kingstonian cross into his own net.
Enfield started brightly after the break, but they could not get past Tolfrey – the pick of a clutch of saves denying Adam Wallace at the near post.
The killer second goal came 15 minutes from time when Marcus Moody slipped a perfect through-ball for Moss to neatly knock past the out-rushing Enfield keeper.
Then, in injury time, Moss teed up Sweeney from a free kick and the substitute fired low past Daniel East for the icing on the cake.
