All interest in the FA Trophy came to an end on Saturday as Hampton & Richmond Borough and Carshalton Athletic both crashed out.

The Robins will be the more upset as they held the lead over underdogs Whitstable Town at Colston Avenue thanks to Adriano Moraes’ second goal in as many games.

However, the Oystermen, who are struggling at the wrong end of Ryman Division One South, came back to beat their Ryman Premier hosts 2-1.

Dan Thompson hit Hampton’s only goal at Basingstoke in a 3-1 defeat.

In Ryman Premier action, Kingstonian were held 0-0 at AFC Hornchurch but the single point was enough to take Alan Dowson’s men to the top of the table.

At Imber Court, Met Police were undone by a last minute Robert Bartley strike that meant Canvey Island took all the points back to north Kent from a 1-0 win.

Leatherhead were the big winners in Ryman Division One South after goals from Tom Bradbrook (two), Darren Smith and Mohamed Eisa completed a 4-1 win at Three Bridges.

The biggest losers were Walton Casuals after a 5-0 hammering at new leaders Peacehaven & Telscombe means they have picked up just one point in nine.

Tooting & Mitcham United went down 3-0 at Folkestone Invicta, while Glenn Boosey and Jamie Byatt got the goals that won Corinthian Casuals a point from a 2-2 draw at home to Hastings United.
