Two of the leading women from Kingston AC & Polytechnic Harriers proved their worth again with two club records.
On Saturday, at the Southern Athletics League meeting at Twickenham, Mary Iheke ran the 400m in 55.4 seconds to set a personal best and rewrite the club record books – the 22-year-old also won the 200m in 24.8secs.
Kingston finished the Division Two South meeting in second spot behind Brighton and Hove, and currently sit fourth overall after two meetings.
Other winners include: Andy Robinson (3,000m steeplechase, 10 minutes, 42.2 seconds), Gordon Lester (pole vault, 3.80m), Gareth Cook (shotput, 11.88m; hammer, 49.53m), Andy Wheeble (discus, 41.17m), Layla Thompson (800m, 2:20.9), Phoebe Law (1,500m, 4:53.7; 2,000m steeple-chase, 7:59.2), Mae Thompson (400m hurdles, 64.9secs), Pippa Wingate (hammer, 49.73m) and Camilla Thrush (javelin, 23.74m).
Elsewhere, Dominique Blaize, leapt to long jump victory on Sunday at the Loughborough International, recording 6.54m for another club record.
