Epsom CC continued their 100 per cent record in Division Three of the Surrey Championship with a nine-wicket victory at Old Wimbledonians on Saturday.

After being put into bowl, Epsom’s opening bowling pair of Dayle Honess and Fazal Haq-Jan kept the hosts’ batsmen pinned down.

But it was Ben Hudson who did the most damage, taking 4-37, leaving Old Wimbledonians all out for 177.

Epsom’s opening pair of Godfrey Stevens and Hudson put on an opening stand of 153.

Hudson then went lbw for 70, with the game all but over, while Stevens carried his bat for 82 to seal the win.

Epsom host Staines & Laleham this weekend.

Elsewhere, Banstead remain third in the Premier Division after an eight-wicket win at home to Guildford. Matthew Dunn took 6-37 as the visitors struggled to 190 all out, before Thomas Lancefield’s 109 guided Banstead home.

Leatherhead are second in Division One after a 46-run win over Camberley.
Matt Laidman hit 81 as Leatherhead carded 242, and Shaun Udal turned back the clock, taking 4-66 off 23 overs.
