Walton AC’s women took full advantage of being at home to dominate the latest Southern Athletics League meeting on Saturday.
Competing at their Stompond Lane venue, Walton finished top on the day and climbed to seventh in the overall Division One standings.
And it was the Walton women in awesome form who inspired the win by claiming top spot in 12 A string events.
Leading the way were Susie McLoughlin, who claimed the 200m (26.2 seconds) and 400m (59.1 seconds), and Fiona Parry who won the 800m (two minutes, 21.4 seconds) and the 1,500m (4:56.7).
Jo Locker was also on song winning the 3,000m in 10:24.2, and the 1,500m steeplechase in 5:36.4.
Sarah Dear was first in the 400m hurdles, clocking 72.4 seconds.
In the field, Carla Letheby starred winning the hammer (42.75m) and discus (37.74m), while Helen Channon leapt 5.12m to win the long jump, and Lisa O’Brien won the triple jump (10.13m).
The women then went on to win the 4x400m relay.

For the men, Greg Conlon, who is ranked second in the country in the masters pole vault, won his speciality (4.00m), and Bernhard Jongejan won the javelin (42.57m).
There are two league meetings remaining, on July 14 and August 10, and Walton are 89.5 points off leaders Southampton.
