David Lester took a hat-trick on Saturday as Beddington beat Camberley by four wickets in Surrey Championship Division One.

Lester clean bowled Tim Burns, Todd Hutcheson and Sam Miller to reduce Camberley to 6-4 before they recovered to 141 all out and Lester ended with figures of 4-16 from 11 overs.

In reply, Beddington were struggling at 63-6 but a 79-run partnership between Tom Caines (58 not out) and Ned Lack (40 not out) saw them home and up to fourth in the table. They go to Farnham on Saturday.

Elsewhere in the same division, Old Whitgiftian lost by 117 runs to Leatherhead and Dulwich claimed only their second point of the season when rain forced their game with Normandy to be abandoned after Dulwich were bowled out for just 76. Old Whit host Ashtead and Dulwich welcome Camberley on Saturday.

In division two, Purley lost to Worcester Park by three wickets. Savion Lara top scored with 47 as Purley were bowled out for 139 and, despite Tishan Wanigaratne taking 5-29, Purley were easily beaten. They are now eighth in the league and host second-placed Esher on Saturday.

Jason Moore claimed six wickets for just three runs as Addiscombe smashed Churt by seven wickets in division three.

Moore took just 19 balls to record his impressive figures as Churt were all out for 52, and he then hit 39 runs to take Addiscombe to the win.

It moved them second and they go to third-placed Chipstead, Coulsdon & Walcountians, who drew with Streatham & Marlborough last weekend, on Saturday.
