Kingston AC & Polytechnic Harriers missed out on promotion to the top tier of the Southern Athletics league by just two points.
A final meeting victory at Kingsmeadow on Saturday was not enough as the Harriers finished third in Division Two South, behind Croydon Harriers and winners Brighton & Hove.
The A-string winners on the day for the senior men were: Gareth Cook (discus, 36.10m; hammer, 50.95m); Tom Parry (400m hurdles, 57.5 seconds); Chris Hall (triple jump, 12.68m) and Christopher Dack (shot, 12.97m; discus 41.34).
The senior winning women were: Pippa Wingate (discus, 36.38m; hammer 53.65m; shot, 10.59m); Dominique Blaize (100m, 12.5secs; 100m hurdles, 16.00secs; long jump, 5.26m); Phoebe Law (800m, 2:23.3; 1,500m steeplechase, 5:19.8); Mary Iheke (200m, 25.1secs) and Layla Thompson (400m, 60.4secs).
